YOUNGSTERS are being encouraged to swap the money they might spend on a can of Coke and a packet of crisps for action-packed weekends of sports.
Young people aged between 13 and 16 years old can take part in The Friday Night Project, which is being held on the first Friday of every month at the Talacre Community Sports Centre in Kentish Town.
For just £2 visitors will get the chance to take part in a whole host of fun activities, including five-a-side and seven-a-side football, basketball and badminton.
Also on offer are boxing, table tennis and trampolining sessions, all led by a team of dedicated coaches.
Camden Council’s community sport and physical activity officer, Shaun Taylor, called on youngsters to join in the next session, which has been scheduled for February 3 between 8pm and 10pm.
“This is a great opportunity for young people to take part in a range of activities and sports, and to make new friends, all in a safe and welcoming environment.”
