Ward on target for St Peter’s

    Published: 29 September, 2016

HOTSHOT Tim Ward bagged a brace at the weekend as St Peter’s netted their first victory of the season in Division Two of the Camden Sunday League.

Dan Rozier also scored as the Islington-based side overcame Dinamo Dorigo 3-1 at Hackney Marshes.

Goalkeeper Will Scargill played his part in the win with a series of fine saves.

Led by leading scorer Graeme Ryan, Philippine FC are top of the Division Two table following their 6-0 win over Enate United.

The result leaves them with seven points from their opening three games, and takes them above rivals Surreal Madrid on goal-difference after Madrid could only manage a 3-3 against AFC Shooters.

In Division One, the Hurricanes are a point clear at the top despite being held to a 1-1 draw in their topsy-turvy clash against Cobden Athletic.

Closest rivals Auld Shillelagh still have a game in hand, however, and made it two wins from two on Sunday courtesy of their 3-0 victory over rivals London Badgers.
