Jump jivers may want to pull on their dancing shoes at the Parliament Hill Bandstand on Sunday afternoon when some splendid swing music is being played by John Bayley and Five Go Jumping.

Perhaps best known for his Christmas Eve appearances at the Festival Hall, Bayley has led Five Go Jumping for 25 years, playing the major venues in London.

His love of the American song-book began during his childhood in the US, and he founded Five Go Jiving as a jump jive band paying tribute to the work of Louis Jordan, Cab Calloway and Louis Prima.

Now, the band runs the gamut of swing, jive music and good-time jazz, just the stuff to enliven Sunday afternoon on the Heath.
