MAURICIO Pochettino is facing a selection headache for Sunday’s top-of-the-table clash against Manchester City at White Hart Lane – with at least four first-teamers who missed the midweek Champions League victory away at CSKA Moscow back in the running for a recall.

Talismanic midfielder Mousa Dembele and enforcer Eric Dier are both back to full match fitness following injury, while Danny Rose has recovered from a hamstring injury. Kyle Walker, who was left on the bench for the 1-0 win over CSKA Moscow, is also back in contention.

The returning first-teamers have, however, found those taking their places have performed well, leaving the Spurs manager with the option to rest crucial players during a busy autumn programme.

Man of the moment Heung-Min Son, who has now scored five goals in five games, would feel hard done by if rested for the big match against City.

Fans drooled at the cameo contribution by new boy Georges-Kévin N’Koudou on Tuesday, but the winger is expected to be back on the bench this weekend.

Meanwhile Pochettino has been handed a massive boost by club doctors, who have reported that Harry Kane’s ankle ligament injury isn’t as bad as first feared.

The forward was set to have an eight-week lay-off but scans this week suggest he could return in time for the north London derby at rivals Arsenal at the beginning of November.
