The Hill fire win in title challenge

Title tilt thrillers: Belsize Park under-11s who edged Harbour 6-4

    Camden & Islington Youth League

YOUNGSTERS from Primrose Hill Football Club continue to go from strength-to-strength in the Under-9s North Division.
On Friday the Hill took an early lead against Chapel Boys at Market Road when Ben Rifkin coolly slotted the ball beyond the keeper.
With Devin Mills keeping the Chapel strikers at bay with a player-of-the-match performance in defence, Primrose went on to seal a 2-0 win thanks to Dennis Shah’s close-range strike.
Primrose Hill’s under-10s couldn’t maintain the club’s winning streak as they suffered a 3-1 defeat against Isledon Wolves in their ‘B’ Division fixture.
Mark Ikua gave Wolves the lead before Eliezer Kafuti showed great composure to double the advantage.
Primrose pulled a goal back from the penalty spot but it proved little more than a consolation as Zeki Musa settled the tie late on.
In the Under-11s ‘B’ Division, Belsize Park kept their title hopes alive with a thrilling 6-4 victory over Harbour.
Striker James Williams proved the difference between the two sides as he notched up a stunning hat-trick. Brett English, Josh Gilbey and Ben Case also scored vital goals to earn Belsize three valuable points.
Isledon Wolves battled back from two goals down to take a point from their match against Admiral Youth in the Under-13s ‘A’ Division.
Goalkeeper Ej Gyebi kept Wolves in the game with a series of great saves. The shot-stopper was rewarded for his efforts when strikes from Arron Hammond and Elijah Alexis-Grunberg salvaged a point in a pulsating 2-2 draw.
