ARSENAL coach Luke Howard couldn’t hide his delight this week after scoring a top honour at the 2016 London FA Awards.

The 24-year-old Arsenal in the Community disability officer, who lives in Archway, was presented with the Inclusion Partner of the Year Award at a glitzy ceremony held at The Valley, home of Charlton Athletic, last Thursday. He received the accolade for his dedication to disability sport, which sees him regularly team up with other devoted Arsenal in the Community staff.

The dedicated team regularly host football sessions for people with mental health problems, learning disabilities, and Down’s syndrome.

Luke said: “I’m very proud that the work we do has been recognised in this way.

“We think everyone should be able to enjoy getting involved with football. And we put on sessions that try to give the guys we work with that chance.”
